Saturn's Rink: a roller rink is coming to Gainesville

A roller rink called Saturn's Rink is coming to Gainesville.

The first word came Monday evening, Oct. 26, in a local Facebook group. The post asked, "Hey Gainesville! Are we ready? Coming soon..." It carried a purple, space-themed flyer: two roller skates riding the rings of Saturn, a shooting star and the line "Lace up, lift off, roll on..."

Within a few hours the post had more than 250 reactions and more than 90 comments.

What people asked

Most comments asked the same two things: where, and when. The person who posted it answered "details coming soon!" and "more details coming soon!" To a doubter who said a rink had been tried here before, the reply was: "hopefully this one sticks! see ya there!" To advice about keeping rink horseplay in check, the answer was: "we definitely won't be dealing with horseplay!"
