The Gainesville Economic Development Corporation (GEDC) is your one-stop-shop for expert information. We can supply you with the data you require and the customized incentives you need. The GEDC works to develop and maintain a diverse and vibrant economic base by supporting current businesses, providing the resources entrepreneurs need for start-up, and assisting site selectors with relocation and expansion. The GEDC is a Texas Type B Economic Development Corporation formed in 1994 and funded by ¼ of 1 percent of the sales and use tax for the City.
