Meals on Wheels of Texoma (MOWOT) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit serving Grayson, Fannin, and Cooke counties since 1980, providing home-delivered meals to homebound seniors and congregate lunches at senior centers. The Gainesville site at 400 S. Weaver St. serves Cooke County clients. Approval is handled by TCOG (Texoma Council of Governments) Aging & Disability Services in Sherman — contact Judy Hunt at 903-813-3505 ext. 1 or [email protected]. Limits: $5.00 suggested for lunch for ineligible/under-60 people; no fee for eligible seniors.
Eligibility: Anyone age 60 or older (or a spouse living with someone 60+) is welcome regardless of ability to pay.

Requirements: To be approved you must contact TCOG (Texoma Council of Governments) Aging & Disability Services in Sherman. Judy Hunt is the case worker: 903-813-3505 ext. 1 — best to reach out by email at [email protected], the office is very busy. Bring proof of income. Referrals also accepted from Department of Aging and Disability Services, Texoma Area Agency on Aging, and Star+Plus Medicaid programs.
Eligibility: Homebound, elderly, and medically disadvantaged individuals. No fees for eligible individuals.
