Requirements
Bring for each person applying: (1) Proof of identity (driver's license, birth certificate, Social Security card, passport, military ID, immunization card, or school/employer photo ID); (2) Proof of residence with your current physical address (utility bill, credit-card bill, rent receipt, landlord letter; P.O. boxes are NOT accepted); (3) Proof of income for all household members (recent pay stubs within 30 days, tax return, employer letter, Social Security check, child-support records, or self-employed accounting). Applicants already enrolled in Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF can show their program documentation in lieu of income proof. Also bring immunization records for infants/children and an extra clean diaper for infants/toddlers (they are weighed in a clean dry diaper). Existing participants adding family members should bring their Texas WIC EBT card.
Eligibility
Open to pregnant women, postpartum women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children under age 5. Applicants qualify if they: (a) currently receive Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF (automatic income qualification), OR (b) meet the Texas WIC household income guidelines for their family size. Texas residency required.
