Emergency crews responded to a reported hit-and-run collision on Highway 82 involving an 18-wheeler and a black pickup truck. Fire and medical personnel were dispatched to the scene after an automatic system detected an airbag deployment. Callers reported that two individuals from one of the vehicles fled into a nearby wooded area on foot. A heavy wrecker was requested to remove the semi-trailer.
