Medical call delayed by loose dogs

An ambulance crew and a rescue unit responding to a medical call reported they could not reach the patient at first because a number of dogs were loose in front of the house and on adjoining property. Crews asked for additional responders to stand by in case the dogs became a problem while the patient was moved to the ambulance. Responders reported a short time later that they had reached the patient, and an air ambulance that had been requested was canceled. The radio traffic did not identify the location of the call, and no injuries to responders were mentioned.
