Denison 11U All-Stars qualify for DYB Regional World Series in Montgomery

The Denison 11U All-Stars will play in the 2026 DYB Regional World Series in Montgomery, Alabama, where the pool-play schedule posted by Alabama DYB lists them as Texas's No. 2 entry in the 11U Ozone division. The tournament opens Wednesday, July 15, and runs through Monday, July 20.

Texas holds two spots in the division, and both appear on the same posted schedule. Paris qualified as the state's No. 1 entry, and Denison follows at No. 2, according to that document, which identifies each qualifying club by home city and state entry number. Ozone is the division label the posted schedule uses for the 11U field.

The Montgomery event covers more than one age group. Alabama DYB's tournament page identifies it as the DYB Regional World Series for 7U, 9U and 11U teams, and all three divisions are set for the same July 15-20 window in the same host city. Denison's players will compete in the oldest of the three age groups on the schedule that week.

Texas DYB's own records point the same direction. The bracket the organization published for its 11U state tournament lists the Regional World Series in Montgomery as the advancement destination and attaches the July 15-20 dates. That lines up with what Alabama DYB has posted: the destination and the dates appear the same way in both places, one record kept by the Texas organization and one by the Alabama organization that posts the event's schedule.

Montgomery secured the 2026 Regional World Series after completing a $2.4 million renovation of Lagoon Park, according to a City of Montgomery news release. The city pointed to the event's recent history in the same announcement: the 2024 tournament generated more than $4 million in direct visitor spending, the release said, and brought more than 750 families to Montgomery.

A separate city release spelled out what the Lagoon Park project changed. Five fields were converted to fast-pitch-ready condition, according to that release. New backstop netting went in, along with outfield fencing, and the playing surfaces were re-sodded. The release also listed a covered turf batting cage, a fan shelter, work on the umpire locker room and upgrades to the restrooms among the improvements.

The Alabama schedule that names Denison covers the tournament's pool-play round, and it remains posted on the organization's tournament site. Denison appears there as Texas's No. 2 entry, the listing that confirms the club's spot in the field. The 11U pool games fall within the event's July 15-20 window, and the tournament closes Monday, July 20.
