Denison's city calendar listed guitarist Junior Brown as the featured act for a Music on Main concert Friday, July 24, at Forest Park, 300 W. Crawford St., and showed admission at no charge. Brown's own tour calendar carried the same booking, a Main Street Music Concert Series date in Denison with a 7:30 p.m. start.
For Cooke County residents who follow free outdoor music within driving distance, the Denison date arrived a week ahead of the next show on Gainesville's own summer calendar. Gainesville lists its 2026 Summer Sounds concerts at the Gainesville Farmers Market on the last Friday of May, June and July, with no admission charge.

Denison's season flyer describes 2026 as the 25th season of Music on Main and sets the run from June 12 through July 31, with free outdoor concerts on Friday evenings at 7:30. City tourism records point to a growing turnout. A packet prepared for the Denison Convention and Visitors Bureau advisory board on Aug. 11, 2025, reported that attendance at the series was up in 2025 and noted that 2026 would mark the series' 25th anniversary.

The same flyer billed Friday's lineup as Junior Brown with Blair Kudelka. Tanya Rae appears in the city's official event biography for the show, which identifies her as Brown's wife and as part of the band's history. The flyer does not list her as a separate opening act.
The honky-tonk label attached to Brown comes from that same city biography, which says he spent years playing honky-tonks and later relocated to Austin with Tanya Rae and the band.
Forest Park was not the only address on the July schedule. Denison's July 2026 calendar places most of the late-month concerts at the Crawford Street park, while the July 17 show with Booker T. Jones was listed at Heritage Park.
The Texas Music Office lists Denison among the state's Music Friendly Texas Certified Communities.
Future Brown's public Facebook page identifies her as a lifestyles editor at the Herald Democrat. The page does not credit her as the photographer for the Forest Park concert, and no primary record confirms who supplied gallery images from Friday's show.
By the city's published season dates, one Friday remains, with the July 31 concert closing the run.
