DENISON — B. McDaniel Intermediate School is open at 1000 Texoma Drive, and Denison ISD's official Facebook page says district representatives and community members celebrated the opening of the new campus on Thursday evening. Board records reviewed by GvilleTX list the construction price as $74,737,372, the guaranteed maximum price set for Pogue Construction.
For Denison families, the opening settles where fifth and sixth grade now meet. The school's official campus page gives the address as 1000 Texoma Drive and identifies B. McDaniel as the district campus for those two grades.
A guaranteed maximum price is the ceiling written into a contractor's agreement with a school district. The $74,737,372 figure appears in the construction document posted with Denison ISD's board materials, which is the primary pricing record GvilleTX reviewed for this campus.

The project's paper trail begins in the spring of 2023. Denison ISD held a bond election on May 6, 2023, and the board's agenda for May 16, 2023 included an order canvassing the returns from that election. The records reviewed for this report do not state the size of the bond package, and they do not give the vote totals from the canvass.
Pricing reached the trustees the following year. The Sept. 17, 2024 board agenda included an item to approve summarized competitive subcontractor proposals and guaranteed maximum price proposals for the new B. McDaniel Intermediate School. That item is where the district's construction pricing for the campus entered the public record.
The school came before the board once more before it opened. Denison ISD's October 2025 board agenda carried an item for the Masonic Grand Lodge of Texas setting a cornerstone at the new B. McDaniel Intermediate School.
Families looking for details on the building itself are being pointed to the district's own channels. B. McDaniel's campus news page links to a July edition of the district's ParentSquare newsletter. GvilleTX did not find an accessible district-published record stating dates or hours for come-and-go tours of the new campus, so no tour schedule is reported here.
