The pool, at 1501 W. Brock St., listed start times at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., per the city's event page. Registered participants also received free open-swim admission from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the day of the event, the city said. The City of Denison lists the pool's full address as 1501 W. Brock St., Denison, TX 75020, on its parks page.

The program's organizers describe the 2026 edition as the 17th annual World's Largest Swimming Lesson and say the World Waterpark Association started the initiative in 2010, according to the event's website. Denison's listing places the pool among the participating sites for this year's edition.
Waterloo Pool's participation came as the city works on a longer-range recreation effort. Denison says it is developing a Parks and Trails Master Plan with public input and a steering committee. According to the city, that committee draws from the City Council, the Parks and Recreation Commission, the Planning and Zoning Commission, residents and community partners.
Swim instruction is set up differently across the area this summer. In Gainesville, the city's 2026 swim-lesson program runs as paid group classes at $60 per student, with sessions in June and July and class times at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., according to the City of Gainesville. That model differs from the single free event Denison listed at Waterloo Pool, which carried no registration fee for its scheduled lesson times.

In Sherman, the Splash Family Aquatic Center posted its own calendar. Sherman Parks lists no lap swim or swim lessons from June 29 through July 2, and the facility is closed for the full day on July 2, according to the Sherman Parks schedule. The three cities' postings show separate timetables for aquatics as the summer season runs.
Details on Waterloo Pool's role in The World's Largest Swimming Lesson, including the four lesson times and the open-swim window for registrants, are posted on the City of Denison's website. Residents seeking the pool's location can find the W. Brock Street address on the city's parks page.
