Howe man arrested after police say he struck driver with gun

HOWE, Texas — Frank Anthony Thomas, of Howe, was arrested after Howe police said he pointed a gun at another driver and struck the driver with it during a Monday, July 27, 2026, road-rage confrontation in Howe. The official city police page places the law-enforcement matter with the Howe Police Department at 116 E. Haning St., not with Gainesville or Cooke County agencies.

The Howe Police Department said the reported confrontation involved Thomas and another driver. Police said Thomas displayed the gun toward the driver, then used the weapon to hit him during the encounter.
