James Cook Band releases live album recorded at Wichita Falls' Iron Horse Pub

The James Cook Band has released a live album, "On The Record: Live at Iron Horse Pub," recorded with no overdubs at Iron Horse Pub in Wichita Falls, according to the band's website. Gainesville audiences know the act from a booking of their own: Gainesville Summer Sounds promoted a June 2025 concert featuring James Cook and Josh Weathers.

A record made that way keeps the performance as the room heard it, including whatever happened between songs, instead of parts re-cut afterward in a studio.
