A check of Denison Police and Grayson County online pages on Sunday did not confirm reports circulating locally that a Grayson County sheriff's deputy was arrested over the weekend in Denison on a family violence charge. GvilleTX Newsroom reviewed three public sources online, the Denison Police Media Resources page, the department's police-records information, and Grayson County's Sheriff's Office information, and could not match the reported arrest to any document published there.
The Denison Police Department maintains a 2026 news-release archive on its Media Resources page. As of the Sunday review, that archive listed two items, one dated May 2 and one dated February 2. The page carried no June notice announcing the arrest of a county deputy, a family violence call, or a charge.
A gap in a published archive does not by itself settle what happened. An online release page reflects only the notices officials choose to post, and it is not a full incident or arrest record. Denison Police route requests for those records through the department's Records Division and the formal open-records process, which is the local path for copies of incident and arrest reports.
