MaxPreps recorded S&S Consolidated with three two-set victories Thursday, Aug. 27, at the Callisburg Tournament, giving the Lady Rams an unbeaten varsity tournament day tied by school listings to Callisburg High School in Callisburg. The results came two days after MaxPreps listed S&S with a 3-0 loss to Tioga and left the Sadler program at 16-3-2 overall as it worked through non-district play before UIL district representatives are due to be certified in late October.
S&S Consolidated ISD posted Aug. 27 as an all-day varsity volleyball tournament at Callisburg. Pilot Point ISD identified its event that day as the varsity Callisburg Tournament at Callisburg High School, and Callisburg ISD's official site listed a varsity tournament entry at Callisburg. Callisburg ISD lists the district address as 148 Dozier Street in Callisburg.
MaxPreps listed the Lady Rams' tournament results as 2-0 over Pilot Point, 2-0 over Calvary Academy and 2-0 over Bridgeport. In the Pilot Point match, the MaxPreps box score showed S&S taking the sets 25-17 and 25-19. The Calvary Academy match page showed S&S winning a neutral tournament match in two sets.
The final S&S match on MaxPreps for the day was a 1 p.m. neutral tournament meeting with Bridgeport. The box score showed S&S winning 25-19 and 25-20, and the same page credited B. Willis as the person who submitted the final score. S&S Rams Athletics, in a separate coaches listing, identifies Brett Willis as head volleyball coach and assistant softball coach.
The tournament sweep added to a season that MaxPreps shows has included heavy neutral-site work. After the Aug. 27 results were posted, the schedule page listed S&S at 13-2-2 on neutral courts, with 39 sets won and 12 lost across the overall schedule. The same schedule lists S&S with a 3-1 win at Callisburg on Aug. 11, giving the Lady Rams another posted result in Callisburg earlier in the month.
Under UIL's 2026-27 Conference 3A alignment, the Callisburg Tournament sits outside S&S's district slate. UIL places Sadler S&S Consolidated in Region II District 10 with Bells, Blue Ridge, Gunter, Howe, Leonard and Pottsboro. The same alignment places Callisburg and Pilot Point in Region II District 8 with Boyd, Paradise, Valley View and Whitesboro.
UIL rules say volleyball teams generally may not play more than three tournament matches in one day, with exceptions for certain Saturday one-day and two-day tournaments. MaxPreps listed S&S with three matches on Aug. 27.
The UIL postseason calendar lists Oct. 27 as the deadline for certifying district representatives to the League office, and UIL's state tournament schedule runs Nov. 19-21. Nationally, the NFHS said high school sports participation topped 8.4 million entries in 2025-26 and that girls volleyball participation rose 8 percent, according to the federation's first-party participation statement.
