Texoma Trade Days sets November, December weekends in Sherman

The market at Midway Mall Expo Hall offers free admission and parking, with a collectibles dealer that also sells at Gainesville's Liberty Market.

Shoppers headed to Texoma Trade Days in Sherman on Nov. 14-15 can get in and park without paying, according to Nifty Collectibles. The participating dealer also keeps a spot at Liberty Market on I-35 in Gainesville.

The weekend market meets at Midway Mall Expo Hall, 4800 Texoma Parkway. Nifty Collectibles' 2026 schedule shows one more weekend after that, Dec. 19-20. The dealer lists shopping hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. It advertises the same free admission and parking at its Gainesville location, 4321 I-35.

Collectors will find new and pre-owned LEGO on Nifty's list, along with vintage Pokémon card packs and memorabilia from movies and television. Some tables carry goods made by hand. Daily Lavender Farm says it brings soaps, body products and seasonal items from its Farmhouse Soaps & Scents line.

Old clothing has turned up in a sale tied to the market. Kyle Foster Auctioneers ran an online Texoma Trade Days auction that closed Oct. 15. Its catalog listed vintage T-shirts and women's jeans, and winning bidders were told to pick up their items at the Sherman Expo Hall during a market weekend. The catalog documents an auction. It does not show that the clothing was offered at a booth on any particular weekend.

The market's name goes back at least to July 2015, when a Grayson County trade-days food-permit application listed it. That record does not show whether the market has run without a break or under the same owners since then.

Midway Mall's published vendor application describes monthly space retention for vendors and limited openings for new ones. It also requires vendors to have a sales-tax number. The form does not say what a booth costs now or whether any are open. The Texas Comptroller says people selling taxable goods at markets generally need a state sales-tax permit, and the agency charges nothing to apply. Under its guidance, a seller who pays a fee or commission to set up at a promoter-run flea market cannot claim the occasional-sales exemption unless another exemption fits.

Trading weekends have a long history in the region. The City of Bowie says its trade days began in 1890 as a place to swap horses and mules. Its Second Monday market now covers about 450 lots on five acres on the weekend before each month's second Monday, and the city lists admission as free. Trade City, a separately run Bowie market, lists a 12-by-20-foot outdoor weekend space at $20, vending fee included.

In an April 2026 release on research by GlobalData, the resale company ThredUp reported that U.S. secondhand apparel grew nearly four times as fast as the overall retail clothing market in 2025. A GlobalData analyst quoted in the release projected the U.S. secondhand apparel market will reach close to $79 billion by 2030. Those figures cover the national market and do not measure sales at Texoma Trade Days.

$78.8 billion

Projected size of the U.S. secondhand apparel market by 2030

A national GlobalData forecast, not a measure of Texoma Trade Days sales. Secondhand apparel grew nearly four times as fast as the broader retail clothing market in 2025.
