The tournament was held at Veterans Park and Athletic Complex, 3101 Harvey Road in College Station, the venue given on the event's information page. Van Alstyne now appears on the champions page's 2026 Division II line as runner-up to Graham.
The title-game appearance came early in Van Alstyne's history with the event. The all-time Division II team list posted on the same site shows the Panthers qualifying for state in two seasons, 2025 and 2026. No earlier entry appears under the school's name. The first listed trip came just last summer; one year later, Van Alstyne was playing for a championship.
Graham's record in the event runs longer. The champions list credits the school with earlier Division II state 7-on-7 titles in 2013, 2014 and 2017, which makes the win over Van Alstyne the fourth championship recorded for the program in that division.
Tioga's quarterfinal finish closed a fourth consecutive trip to the state tournament. The all-time Division III team list shows the school qualifying every year from 2023 through 2026, and the 2026 scores page records the quarterfinal round as the end of its bracket run this summer. Van Alstyne is new to the state event by the posted lists; Tioga has been a repeat qualifier in its division for four years running.

Both schools had regional company in College Station. The tournament's 2026 qualifiers list includes Pilot Point in the same Division II field as Van Alstyne, while Alvord and Era appear on the Division III list along with Tioga. The postings placed a group of North Texas small-school programs in the state field across the two divisions. The posted records do not include individual statistics or comments from the schools.
