No June 27 Cas Haley Concert Appears on Gainesville's Published City Calendar

As posted, the city calendar sets the weekend's first free show for June 26 at 200 N. Chestnut St., where Gainesville Summer Sounds is scheduled to feature Champagne Yacht Club with Blackout Betty. The newsroom found no June 27 entry on that calendar connecting Cas Haley to a Music on Main concert or to a Forest Park venue.

The city's published Independence Day event is Gainesville's Great American Birthday Bash, set for July 3 from 5 to 10 p.m. at the Gainesville Municipal Airport. The city's page for the event says admission is free and lists live music, vendors, family activities and fireworks. Both that date and that location differ from a July 4 Forest Park gathering, which the newsroom could not confirm from city records.

Cas Haley describes himself on his own website as a Northeast Texas artist whose musical background takes in reggae and ska. That account speaks to the genre but does not, on its own, confirm a Gainesville date. The newsroom found no entry on the city's visible June 2026 calendar tying Haley to a June 27 appearance in Gainesville.

The newsroom also could not confirm that the city runs a concert series under the Music on Main name. Gainesville's official Music & Performances page describes access to live music at the Farmers Market stage rather than a numbered summer series, and it makes no reference to a 25th season. Douglas Park and the Butterfield Stage; the newsroom found no official city page for a Forest Park venue tied to a reggae concert.

The city directs residents to its consolidated community events and calendar pages for confirmed details, and those pages, as published, do not list a June 27 Cas Haley appearance.
